Engaging the public in the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, and recycle) of fashion by leveraging the humanities.
This project promotes public engagement in environmental sustainability through 3Rs (reduce, reuse, and recycle). The ultimate outcome is a public facing website created by students who enroll in FASH649 (Apparel Consumers and Social Responsibility) and FASH210 (Seminar on Fashion and Sustainability). The website offers practical and conceptual ideas to support the sustainability movement and help the public make informed and progressive decisions related to the 3Rs of sustainable fashion. To leverage humanities and foster intellectual stimulation in student learning, the FASH courses involved are enriched by academic experts and industry leaders who value humanistic approach, public engagement, and environmental sustainability.
